About Me

Each of us walk a path individually our own and it is my goal to embrace acceptance and unconditional positive regard for each person I am privileged to serve.  It is my life’s work to help people gain peace and perspective, grace and empowerment to improve their ability to live a fulfilled life.  I consider myself a work in progress as well and am encouraged and inspired by others who are on the same path.

I provide a warm, open, and collaborative environment in which therapy is tailored to where you are and where you would like to go. In addition to talk based therapy, some of my clients like to work on creative assignments that help them reach parts of themselves that it would take many hours of typical talk therapy to access.  Along those same lines, meditation and imagery has been shown through countless research studies to change the functioning of the brain and increase our ability to access our own inner wisdom.  This is a powerful tool to leave therapy with so that you can continue to help yourself long after our work together is over.  It is a very effective means of stress reduction as well.

My qualifications and professional experience include:

• Master of Arts in Counseling earned at Marymount University

• Licensed Professional Counselor in Virginia, Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York, Nationally Board Certified Counselor
